Quality control

The exquisite perfection of Cartier Fine Watchmaking models can be seen in the smallest details. In the Cartier Manufacture at la Chaux-de-Fonds, each of them undergoes rigorous checks in a dedicated quality control laboratory.

When a new model is being designed, the master watchmakers check its reliability with a protocol of almost 150 tests: these include qualifying the movement, the components (case, hands, dial, bracelet...) and, finally, the fully assembled watch. In particular, these tests evaluate how each model functions in extreme climatic conditions (20-70% humidity) and even its resistance to magnetic fields.
