Platinum case, two beaded crowns each set with a blue sapphire cabochon, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal and case back, blue alligator-skin strap, white gold 750/1000 folding buckle. Dual time zone complication: two distinct hour and minute indicators, dials formed by skeletonised bridges. Individually numbered movement consisting of 197 parts including 35 jewels. Movement dimensions: 37.8 mm x 24 mm, movement thickness: 7.9 mm, balance: 28,800 vibrations/hour, power reserve approx. 60 hours. Case dimensions: 52.4 mm x 29.8 mm. Thickness: 10.4 mm. Water-resistant to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres).

About the Collection

Created in 1906, the Tonneau watch is shaped like parentheses opening on a curved oblong flinqué dial. Seemingly simple in appearance, the contours of the watch dictate the forme of the movement in a feat of technical prowess. The Roman numerals, as well as the sapphire cabochon set in the winding crown, are forerunners of the signature Cartier watchmaking style.
